    The brightly colored concrete beach balls at the end of Rio Grande Avenue have become a symbol of the Wildwoods, and have spawned imitators. Currently, there are beach balls on private property, city land, at county projects and at the site maintained by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority.

      There is an emergency blood shortage in 2024. Blood donations are needed to help alleviate the shortage and ensure lifesaving medical procedures proceed without delay.

        AtlantiCare raised more than $640,000 in support of behavioral health and addiction initiatives during the AtlantiCare Foundation’s 63rd annual Century Club Gala on Saturday at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. More than 650 people attended the event during which Dr. Fernando Delasotta was presented with the Edward R. Knight Award and Richard Mairone was honored in memorium.

        Members of the CRDA Board of Directors say cutbacks are coming, along with increased accountability, of events the authority funds. This comes even as the organization said yes to hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of three free concert series in the city this summer.
